I have a degree in agronomy and want to work locally.
What job opportunities exist for someone with a background in agriculture?
1 Answer
San Antonio’s economy is closely tied to agriculture, especially crop production and livestock. Opportunities exist in farm management, agronomic consulting, and agricultural research centers. Many local farms seek professionals for crop planning, soil analysis, and sustainable practices. Additionally, the municipality supports small‑scale agribusinesses and cooperatives, which often look for expertise in modern farming techniques. Job seekers can explore openings through local employment agencies, community bulletin boards, and the provincial labor office’s online portal, which lists positions in agriculture and related sectors.
