What are the main employment sectors in Summerside?

Summerside’s economy is diversified, with notable activity in tourism, retail, healthcare, and light manufacturing. Hospitality jobs are common due to the city’s seasonal visitor flow, especially in restaurants, lodging, and event venues. Retail and service positions are also plentiful in the downtown core. For healthcare and manufacturing roles, the city hosts several facilities that hire locally.
