I have a background in engineering and want to know where the demand is.
What sectors are hiring the most in Cottbus right now?
1 Answer
Cottbus’s job market is strongest in education and research, renewable energy, manufacturing, and public administration. Engineering skills are especially valued in the region’s energy‑technology firms and in companies linked to the local university’s research projects. Job seekers should check the city’s employment agency portal, regional job boards, and the university’s career services for advertised positions. Networking events organized by the local chamber of commerce or industry clusters can also reveal hidden opportunities.
A starting point only — it may be incomplete or out of date. Check official sources for anything important, and add your own answer if you know Cottbus.
