I have a child starting school next year.
What options are there for primary education in Idar‑Oberstein?

The city offers several primary schools, including both public and private institutions. They follow the state curriculum of Rhineland‑Palatinate, with a focus on German, mathematics, and arts. For more information on enrollment procedures, school performance, and available extracurricular programs, consult the local school district’s website or visit the school offices directly.
A starting point only — it may be incomplete or out of date. Check official sources for anything important, and add your own answer if you know Idar-Oberstein.
