I’m moving from Berlin and want to budget for rent.
What is the average rent for a 2‑bedroom apartment in Speyer?
1 Answer
Rent in Speyer typically varies by location and building age. In the city centre, a 2‑bedroom apartment usually costs between €800 and €1,200 per month, while outskirts or newer developments can be slightly higher. Prices are influenced by proximity to the Rhine, historic districts, and public transport links. Check local real‑estate portals or the city’s housing office for current listings and average rates. Keep in mind that rental agreements often include a service fee (Nebenkosten) that covers heating, water, and building maintenance, usually adding 30–40 % to the base rent.
A starting point only — it may be incomplete or out of date. Check official sources for anything important, and add your own answer if you know Speyer.
