I’m an EU citizen arriving with my family and a car.
What paperwork do I need to register my residence after moving to Annaberd‑Buchholz?

After arriving, you must register your address at the local registration office (Einwohnermeldeamt) within two weeks. Bring a completed registration form, your passport or ID card, the rental contract or proof of ownership, and, if you have a vehicle, the vehicle registration documents and proof of insurance. For family members, you’ll also need their identification documents and, if applicable, marriage or birth certificates. The office will issue a registration certificate (Meldebescheinigung), which you’ll need for utilities, banking and health‑insurance enrollment. Check the city’s website for office hours, any appointment requirements, and downloadable forms.
A starting point only — it may be incomplete or out of date. Check official sources for anything important, and add your own answer if you know Annaberg-Buchholz.
