Is a fast-growing city always a good place to move?

I keep seeing certain cities growing really quickly and getting a lot of attention. I’m wondering if rapid growth is actually a good thing for someone thinking about moving there, or if it can also mean higher housing costs, more traffic and other problems. What would you look at before deciding whether a growing city is actually a good fit?

I don’t think fast growth is automatically a good thing. It can mean more jobs, new businesses and better opportunities, but it can also push up housing costs and put more pressure on roads and other services.
I’d look at what is actually driving the growth and whether the city is keeping up with it. If jobs and housing are growing along with the population, that seems like a healthier situation than a city where people are moving in much faster than new housing is being built. I’d also look at things like affordability, commute times and whether the growth is likely to continue. A city growing quickly today isn’t necessarily going to be the right fit for everyone.
