What are the school options for primary‑age children in Castlereagh?

The borough is served by several state‑funded primary schools that are administered by the local education authority. These schools vary in size and catch‑area, and most have good reputations for academic standards and extracurricular activities. Admission is typically based on residence within the school’s catchment, so you’ll need to confirm the exact boundary for any school you’re interested in. The education authority’s website provides a searchable school finder, performance tables and information on enrollment procedures. It’s also worth visiting prospective schools during open days to assess facilities and ethos before making a decision.
