What are the typical rent prices for a 2‑bedroom apartment in Erlangen?

A 2‑bedroom apartment in Erlangen’s central areas usually rents between €900 and €1,200 per month, depending on proximity to the university and building age. Units close to campus or in newer developments can reach the upper end, while older apartments or those a bit further out tend to be cheaper. Rental listings often include a breakdown of utilities, and many landlords require a security deposit of one to three months’ rent. Local real‑estate portals and community bulletin boards are good starting points for up‑to‑date listings.
