I’ll be teaching and need a place close to campus.
Where should I look for affordable apartments near the university?
1 Answer
Affordable apartments are typically found in neighborhoods within a 5-kilometer radius of the university. Look for multi-unit buildings or condominiums that offer short-term leases. Check online classifieds and local real estate agents who specialize in rentals for faculty. Many landlords advertise through community bulletin boards and university housing fairs. When viewing, verify that utilities are included or clearly stated, and confirm the lease terms regarding duration and deposit. Visiting the area during different times of day can give you a sense of safety and convenience.
A starting point only — it may be incomplete or out of date. Check official sources for anything important, and add your own answer if you know Dumaguete.
