I have a mechanical engineering background and want to stay in Thuringia.
Where can I look for engineering jobs in Ilmenau?
1 Answer
Engineering positions in Ilmenau are commonly advertised through the city's employment agency portal, regional job boards, and the university's career service. Companies in the area focus on automotive, renewable energy, and precision manufacturing, so search keywords related to those sectors. Networking events and industry meet‑ups are often announced on the municipality’s website or local business association newsletters. For a broader view, also check the state‑wide labor market platform, which aggregates postings from both private firms and public research institutes.
A starting point only — it may be incomplete or out of date. Check official sources for anything important, and add your own answer if you know Ilmenau.
